DPF (Diesel Particulate Filters)

DPF Solutions

A DPF is a filter found in the down pipe section of the exhaust and is specifically designed to reduce the amount of Diesel Particulate Matter passing through. The objective of this is to create cleaner / more eco-friendly exhaust gases being released into the atmosphere.

DPF problems

A diesel particulate filter over time will become restricted and become clogged as part of its service life, an automated process called regeneration is designed to ‘clean out’ the particulate filter. This tends to be done under specific driving conditions, if these are not met, the degree to which the filter is blocked can surpass the engine management’s ability to regenerate the filter – leading to problems with power loss and engine management faults and even in the absolute worst case a complete failure of the DPF system and a clogged filter requiring replaced or cleaned at expensive consequences.

We are equipped to calibrate the following engine management systems:

DPF Solutions

Replacing the DPF with a brand new unit can cost well over £1000 and could also go faulty further down the line.

We are able to offer a removal service eliminating the problem with no re-occurring problems. Once the DPF is removed, the vehicle’s ECU system requires updating to disable the part that maintains the DPF system.

We understand that every customer’s requirements are unique and welcome the opportunity to discuss a suitable solution package. Please contact us for further information.
