Abarth 595 Turismo

We are pleased to announce that we have been working hard on a tuning package for the Fiat 500 Abarth euro 6 models. All the work was developed on a 2017 Abarth 595 Turismo.

The vehicle came to us as a stock 2017 car having only covered 2000 miles. As with all our development, we dyno and date log the vehicle to have a base on where to improve. The initial dyno runs showed the little Abarth produced 149whp | 178lbft. Our technician Hayden set about replacing the factory twintercooler (a system that has a small intercooler on either side of the bumper). This was replaced with an Airtec stage 3 centralised front mounted intercooler. The brakes were then removed and a set of TAROX 6 pot calipers with braided lines and race fluid were installed. The Koni suspension was replaced with a far superior Bilstein B14 coilover kit and the factory air filter was replaced with an ITG induction that produces an amazing sound track that sounds like it’s coming from the dash. To help speed up the exhaust flow, a larger diameter sports cat and a TMC twin exit remote control valved exhaust system was fitted. In search of more power, the Garrett turbo was removed and converted into an AET hybrid Garrett turbo that boosts the same as a stock turbo.

Once all the items were installed, the vehicle was then custom tuned on our in-house hub dyno along with hours of road miles to finely tune the engine management system. This was all supported and carried out by PERON’S software calibrator. With the tuning complete, the vehicle now produces a fantastic 224whp | 237lbft. The PERON calibrator was also able to increase the rev limit, which is something that seems to be difficult for other tuners to do. Not only did he raise the limiter, he also developed an over run pop and bang add-on.

    I’ve bought a Garrett kit like the turismo/compiezione once fitted what would I expect for a standard map, is there any mods which would be suggested or is it fine to bolt on the new turbo and ancillaries, I’m interested in once built you guys doing the remap
