The Cobra Sport catless turbo downpipes produce a deeper exhaust note and allow the turbos to spool quicker for sharper throttle response and power delivery. Matched with a re-map, this part allows for significant power improvements.
This BMW M2 Competition performance exhaust is made in 3"/76.2mm bore pipework and replaces the primary catalysts (Cat Bypass).
This de-cat sports exhaust is sold for motorsport and off road use only and will NOT be able to pass a UK MOT emissions test or police road side checks.
EML lights may activate after removing the standard primary O/E catalyst. An ECU Re-map is recommended to correct this problem and stabilise all power increases.
Fits to pre-PPF M2 Competition models only due to the additional sensor on PPF models.
Requires 2 x BMW gasket - part number 18307851168 - all other relevant gaskets and fittings are supplied.

Delivering an even harder performance edge to BMW's brilliant F87 M2 is the new valved 3" (76.2mm) Cobra Sport performance exhaust. Both Cobra Sport's Technical and Research and Development teams were involved in the planning and preparation that went into the product testing and development of this new exhaust system to ensure the correct balance between sound, aesthetics and power improvements.
The new Cobra Sport Exhausts for the M2 are based on 3" (76.2mm) diameter pipework for improved gas flow and to open up opportunities for performance tuning. The T304 stainless steel pipework is CNC mandrel bent and benefits from advanced manufacturing techniques and superior TIG welding procedures to produce a superlative finish.
By including the exhaust valve, the new Cobra Sport performance exhaust systems offer the best of both worlds continuing to utilise the built in BMW drive modes. With the valve closed the gasses are directed through the entirety of the optimised rear silencer ensuring a subtle but sporty exhaust tone suitable for everyday driving.
In sport mode the valve opens allowing gasses to flow through and exit both outlets of the silencer increasing flow rates and sound levels. The result in sport mode is a much deeper exhaust tone than standard which becomes highly aggressive when under full load with a trademark crackle on overrun, completely overhauling the driving experience.
The design of the back box was tweaked a number of times to ensure there was no resonance or exhaust drone with each layout being extensively road tested to find the optimal design. During the same process the exhaust sound was optimised with the final system adding a subtle +4dB on the track test whilst completely overhauling the tone upgrading the car to a truly stunning sound track.

Matched with the Cobra Sport Sports Catalyst or De-Cat downpipe to create a full turbo back exhaust upgrade, huge power increases are possible with a re-map at one of our tuning partners."
The Cobra Sport's quad exit exhaust system benefits from a choice of twin slash cut and angled 88.9mm tailpipes finished in either original highly polished stainless steel or upgraded to our Carbon Fibre tailpipe option.
