Press Release

The latest Leon comes with an air of anticipation with owners keen to test the first CUPRA stand-alone hot hatchback.

CUPRA's all-new Leon 300 builds on two decades of successful SEAT performance cars, retaining the highly successful EA888 2.0 TSI engine and produces 300PS.

Whilst these healthy performance figures make the perfect recipe for the ultimate hot hatchback, the new CUPRA Leon is let down by its standard exhaust system, which is muted from the factory, limiting the character you'd expect from a performance car and resulting in a disappointing drive.

For those who want to enhance the sound of their CUPRA Leon 300, Cobra Sport has the solution with their performance exhaust range.

The CUPRA Leon (300) KL1 performance exhaust configurations are as follows:

Sports Cat/De-Cat Front Downpipes - To standard and Cobra Sport Cat/GPF-Back exhaust fitment. These performance exhausts significantly increases the flow of exhaust gases, with the sports cat option benefitting from a high flow 200-cell 4.5-inch catalyst.

Cat/GPF-Back - Pipework which attaches to the downpipe, replacing the centre and rear sections and featuring a rear silencer for those that want to introduce a sporty exhaust note. This system is optimised for non-GPF equipped cars and Leons equipped with the Cobra Sport's High Flow Sports Cat/De-Cat Front Downpipe.

Venom Back Box Delete Race Cat/GPF-Back - The most extreme upgrade that retains the factory catalyst and GPF for those that want to stand out from the crowd. This exhaust fits from the downpipe and routes all the way to the rear of the car, removing the rear silencer for the biggest increase in sound. The non-resonated performance exhaust option is very loud and the is sold for off-road and motorsport use only.

The 3,800rpm static sound testing revealed a +11.5dB increase when equipped with Cobra Sport's Non-Resonated Cat/GPF-Back performance exhaust system.

Like all Cobra Sport exhausts, these CUPRA Leon performance exhausts are TIG-welded from high-quality T304 stainless steel and the mandrel-bent pipework has been developed in 3in (76.2mm) pipework, allowing for a smoother rate of gas flow for improved power delivery and a noticeably enhanced exhaust tone.
