At stock, the Fiesta ST and all other cars come equipped with a Catalytic Converter downpipe, which filters out the harmful emissions produced by the engine, ensuring your car passes the UK emissions laws, allowing it to be road-legal. Despite this, the catalytic converter drastically restricts the flow of air from the engine. This restriction sapps power from the engine as it is unable to expel the gases quick enough.

Swapping the stock downpipe for the Cobra catless downpipe Fiesta ST creates a straight flow of air from the engine to the exhaust, allowing your engine to work to its maximum potential, putting no restrictions on how much power gains it can produce. If you plan to have the Fiesta ST Stage 2 Remap then you are required to swap out the downpipe.

The Fiesta ST180 catted downpipe is sold for off-road use only, and will not pass an MOT or police roadside checks. However, this exhaust is also available as a high-flow cat sports cat version, which will pass these checks.
