VW Polo GTI AW GPF Delete / Downpipe Upgrade - Cobra Sport

Unlike the Polo GTI 1.8T models, the new VW Polo GTI MK6 come equipped with a GPF/PPF in regulation with the UK emissions law. The GPF acts like a secondary catalyst, restricting the flow of air, preventing the engine from working to its maximum efficiency.

This Cobra Sports Polo GTI GPF Delete Kit and downpipe upgrade replace both of these catalysts, increasing the flow of air, allowing your engine to work at a much higher level. This level of airflow is required when upgrading your Volkswagen Polo GTI 2.0 TSI to Stage 2. The increase in power results in larger unloading of gas from the engine. Due to how restrictive the stock system is this is not possible. The Polo GTI Bypass as GPF allows this increase in airflow, which also results in a louder, sportier sounding exhaust tone.

This particular Polo GTI Downpipe is available as either a sports cat or a de-cat. The sports cat will allow your vehicle to pass a mot on non-GPF OPF models only. Unlike the stock catalyst, the Polo GTI AW Decat option is a complete straight pipe with no catalyst at all.

The Polo GTI AW Sports Cat will allow you to pass an MOT if your vehicle does NOT have a GPF/PPF. Vehicles equipped with a GPF/PPF will not pass an MOT with the sports cat as the GPF is removed with this product.
